- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Princess Elizabeth & Family of on Vacation. Prince Philip in Turkey. DESCRIPTION: Princess Elizabeth and her children left London by train from King’s Cross on their way to join the King and Queen at Balmoral. Arriving at Ballater Station in the morning, Princess Elizabeth was received by Canon Adam, the Provost. Meanwhile, Prince Philip, having reached Smyrna in HMS Magpie, flew from there to Yalova, where he was greeted by the Turkish Foreign Minister and the British Ambassador before paying a courtesy call on the President. SHOTLIST: KS. CU Coat of Arms, of Princess Elizabeth. Princess Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Princess Anne arrive at Kings Cross, greeted by station master. Princess Elizabeth holding baby enters train. Prince Charles is lifted into train by nurse. Train draws into Ballater Station, greeted by Canon Adams, the Provost. Outside station crowds gather, Prince Charles walks out of station by himself & runs back again. Comes out with Princess Elizabeth & family. Nurse holding Princess Anne enters car followed by Princess Elizabeth, nurse then hands baby to Princess Elizabeth & the nurse lifts Prince Charles onto her lap. At Kings Cross, shots of Prince Charles looking through glass window of train, jumps as cameramen arc lights flash on. In background is shot of nurse holding baby. At Ballater cars drive through crowd, cheering crowds surge forward. Car out of camera. At Yalova, Duke of Edinburgh arrives by air greeted by Mr Koprulu, Turkish Foreign Minister. Istanbul - Group enter Dolma-Bagche Palace. Duke walks round grounds with Governor of Istanbul. Cut-in of Duke leaving by water from Yalova to Istanbul.
