Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Cox Gun Demonstration. DESCRIPTION: An ingenious method of bringing a fresh air pipe to men imprisoned in a sunken submarine, manufactured by Mr Cox and demonstrated by Captain Lawson-Smith, is a gun which can fire a hollow bolt through three-quarters of an inch of steel. SHOTLIST: KS. CU gun. SCU Mr Cox describing the gun. Mr Cox loads gun ready for use - CUs of same. Captain Lawson-Smith, fires gun through 3/4" steel plate, bolt penetrates plate, cap of same screwed off & air pipe attached. Underwater demonstration of same showing how it can be used in the case of sunken submarine.
