Summary

A guard of honour of the Arab Legion meets Field Marshal Alanbrooke when he goes to visit the Emir Abdullah as he crosses the frontier into Transjordan. At the Emir’s palace there is a guard of honour of the Transjordan Frontier Force. After lunch at the palace they pose for photographers. Present are: Lord Gort, General Sir Bernard Paget, Alanbrooke, Emir Abdullah, Mr Kirkbridge, Minister Resident and Glubb Pasha. Field Marshal Alexander in informal mood with his family prior to appointment as Governor General of Canada.
