MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Last British Troops Leave Palestine. DESCRIPTION: With the end of the British Mandate the last troops leave Haifa and the Israeli flag is raised. Prime Minister, David Ben Gurion, was present at the taking over ceremony. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS Tank along quay onto LCT. Troops march aboard LCT. Troops boarding in fore is Lt General McMillan. MS McMillan watching proceedings. SCU Bugler wearing a topi. Union Jack being hauled down from Government Building. Tilt up to Union Jack flying on ship. MS LCT pulls away from quay. Israeli flag flies over building. Israeli troops parade, presenting arms. MS Prime Minister David Ben Gurion. GV parade.
