Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Trooping the Colour Disappointment. DESCRIPTION: To the disappointment of the large crowd, the Trooping the Colour ceremony was cancelled as storms were threatened. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS Guards in full dress, others in khaki uniforms, slow march into camera, through ranks of troops. Similar shot of same. Officer walks round inspecting uniforms, one guard has some dirt brushed off. GV guards marching. (All the above is at Chelsea Barracks, taken from CARD 50158). Horse Guards Parade - GV elevated shot crowds walking about the parade ground and dispersing. MS groups of people, children, hikers and Americans. GV crowds streaming along the Mall towards Palace. GV Buckingham Palace with crowds in fore. GV Palace, tilting down from Royal Standard to GV of Palace. AT OLYMPIA - Royal car arrives, King alights shakes hands with officer. Queen also shakes hands. Royal party which includes Princess Margaret, first appearance since measles, walk past camera. Interior Royal Tournament.
