MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Curfew in Palestine. DESCRIPTION: Tension is running high in Palestine following the UN vote and curfew has been imposed to curb the rioting and looting. SHOTLIST: KS GV street guarded by British soldiers, barbed wire across street. Several shots of army trucks passing through barbed wire, people walk about the streets. MS British troops seated on Bren Carriers in street, soldier stands by barbed wire with rifle. Various shots smoke rising from burning buildings. LS of same. Several shots of streets, smoke pouring from shuttered shops. Various shots of streets deserted during curfew, only troops can be seen patrolling the streets.
