DESCRIPTION: Monsieur Thorez, leader of the French Communist Party, attended the Miners’ Festival at St Arbe and it turned into a Communist rally. SHOTLIST: KS Elevated procession into camera. Various shots of miners in procession through the streets, headed by Thorez. SCU of Thorez as he heads procession. Elevated shot of procession through narrow street of town. Crowds congregate in square. Thorez mounts rostrum and addresses crowds, who cheer and wave their arms, Thorez uses his arms gesturing while speaking. Thorez spoke to miners telling them to continue the strike. Cut-ins of miners listening. Maurice Thorez is French Communist leader.
