MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Sayajirao’s St Leger. DESCRIPTION: There was a small crowd at Doncaster for this year’s St Leger. The race was won by Sayajirao, owned by the Gaekwar of Baroda. SHOTLIST: KS GV horses racing and crowds. GV crowds in front of grandstand. Various shots of types, fashions, also of Yorkshire types. CUs in paddock, Arbar, Tite Street, Bow and Arrow. MS number board. In parade, SCU Migoli, Pearl Diver and Sayajirao. SV start, line up and start of race. Sayajirao second from rails. Head on shot of horses rounding bend into camera. Elevated GV of horses rounding bend and approaching straight. Panning shot of horses along straight. Sayajirao gets lead, challenged by Arbar, pan to finish Sayajirao wins by head. Winning horse led in and CU of Sayajiro ridden by E Britt to finish.
