- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Heatwave in London. DESCRIPTION: London swelters in a heatwave, the pavements are hot enough to fry an egg on. SHOTLIST: KS Crowds along Serpentine. Crowds bathing in Serpentine. SCU of children in water, parents holding them. Dog having swim in same. SCU mongrel dog sitting on path in deserted street. Pan to lamp-post. SCU dog turning his head away. TS trolley-bus along pan to Oval Cricket Ground. TS people stand at windows of top deck of bus watching cricket (last Test match). MS men on balcony watching cricket through binoculars, he wears straw hat and holds sunshade. CU man in crowd with hat made from newspaper. TS crowd applauding. GV crowd round the Oval. Back view Prosser squatting on pavement, MS of him frying powered eggs on pavement. MS Prosser in tropical kit, topi, overcoat scarf etc. dragging case along path. Stops outside house, puts case down and wrings his beard out, water drips from same. Interior - back view Prosser out of camera in bathing trunks walks towards refrigerator climbs inside same, puts label on handle, do not disturb.
