MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Viceroy Returns for Consultations. DESCRIPTION: Lord and Lady Mountbatten have returned from India, so that the Viceroy can consult on the situation there. SHOTLIST: KS York plane taxies across aerodrome towards camera. Lord Mountbatten, in civilian clothes, and Lady Mountbatten alight from plane, greeted by RAF officers. Various shots of Lord and Lady Mountbatten walking to RAF buildings on aerodrome. With them is their married daughter and son in law. Also Lord Listowel (Secretary of State for India) following, wearing civilian clothes and trilby hat. CU Lord and Lady Mountbatten. In the crowd can be seen Lord Ismay.
