MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Battle of the Dykes. DESCRIPTION: The Army used their Neptune tanks to help hold back the flood water when the Great Ouse overflowed near Earith, Huntingdonshire. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS Tanks along through flooded areas. GV of breach in bank of Great Ouse. Group shots of Army officer instructing (silent) troops on operation. Silhouettes (evening shots) of flooded area, searchlights in background. At night, troops filling sandbags, dropping sandbags into place and dropping same into water, alongside sunken Neptune tanks. Morning shots of tanks in position after sinking, shots taken from amphibious vehicles showing tanks in position.
