- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: British Film Festival 1947. DESCRIPTION: Stars turned out in force at the Odeon, Leicester Square for the British Film Festival. SHOTLIST: KS LIBRARY - Turning model of Oscar statue CU. Exterior of Odeon Cinema, crowds outside, film fans arrive at cinema; snowing. Interior - foyer, fans and film stars gathering. Mr and Mrs Cooper-Key receive Jack Warner (Warner Brothers). Lionel Gamlin interviews Tessie O’Shea. Richard Attenborough and his wife, Sheila Sim. SCU David Lean interviewing Celia Johnson and Trevor Howard (both Howard and Johnson hold cigarettes). Lord Jowitt and Lady Jowitt arrive in foyer. SCU Stanley Maxted and Major Macquire rehearse part of the film Theirs is the Glory. Flashback Stanley Maxted in trench, speaking into microphone, referring to the RAF and parachutes etc. cut-ins of men at Arnhem, Dakota crashes into German positions.
