MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Monty in Palestine. DESCRIPTION: Field Marshal Lord Montgomery visits Palestine, where he has twice been in command. SHOTLIST: KS York plane taxies across aerodrome. Plane coming to standstill, crowds stand around. Monty alights from plane, greeted by Lt General Sir Evelyn Barker and Major General Cassels. Monty shakes hands with several high ranking officers. Inspects Guard of Honour (Airborne Division) several shots. Monty at Government House walks onto balcony with High Commissioner, General Sir Alan Cunningham. SCU & CU of both together.
