MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Immigrant Ship Battle. DESCRIPTION: When the Knesseth Israel docked at Haifa violent resistance broke out when troops were ordered to transfer the Jewish immigrants to a ship bound for Cyprus. SHOTLIST: KS Knesseth Israel lying off Haifa. GV ditto. Ship docking. LS of ship with tear gas bomb exploding. Tug approaches ship, MS tug in fore with ship in background. Refugees jump from ship into water. British troops run along quay with tin helmets on. Pressmen kept behind barbed wire barrier. Troops transfer refugees from Knesseth Israel to other ships for shipment to Cyprus. Placards on stern of ship threatening British blood for every Jew killed. Troops cut it down and it drops into sea. Various shots of troops transferring Jews from one ship to another.
