MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Churchill Court for British Legion. DESCRIPTION: Mr Churchill has handed on Kippington Court at Sevenoaks to the Royal British Legion. The former Premier officially opened the building and reviewed a march-past. SHOTLIST: KS GV part of house (Churchill Court). GV whole house. Churchill Court, with dais in grounds to the fore. Churchill inspects Guard of Honour - British Legion, compares some of the medals worn by the veterans with his own. GV Winston Churchill on dais accompanied by Mary Churchill, three cheers given for Churchill. Churchill addresses crowd, thank you Mr Hopkins for giving me the house, etc., also his private opinion that Churchill had helped to win the victory. Cut-ins of crowd seated. Churchill continues speech. Leaving dais goes to door, with key he opens door. Plate nailed on door reads Mr Winston Churchill holds only key to this door. Marchpast by British Legion, into camera and SV Churchill giving the V sign.
