Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Jewish Squatters in Palestine. DESCRIPTION: Jewish settlers at Kastina are one of eleven settlements in the Negev area. There is no friction in the area and cordial relations seem to have been established between Jews and Arabs. SHOTLIST: KS MS wooden houses in area. Various shots of Jews building same. Putting roof on house, nailing planks into position. Driving wooden wedges into ground. GV Jewish camp with barbed wire encircling same. Cut-ins of Jewish people working on the houses. Horse in fore, houses in background. Jews talk (silent) amongst themselves. Arabs and Jews talk, shots of groups of them seated just inside tent, another brings over coffee for them to drink.
