MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Execution of Jap General. DESCRIPTION: At Changi, Singapore Lt General Sukei Shampei was executed by a firing squad. SHOTLIST: KS Jap General escorted down steps to breach, has hood over his head. Led to stake to which he is fastened. GV firing squad firing. MS Jap General, Lieutenant General Sukei Shampei slumping as bullets hit him. Firing Squad consisted of volunteers from Northamptonshire Regiment. Sergeant Chris Brownleigh is seen taking photographs.
