Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Rainbow Corner Closes. DESCRIPTION: The American Red Cross Club, Rainbow Corner, has closed down. Large crowds gathered inside and out for the closing. SHOTLIST: KS GV "Rainbow Corner" with "sold" sign erected on same, tilt down to entrance. Yanks stand about around entrance. Night shots of crowds outside, people enter, Mrs Roosevelt enters, Mr Eden enters, general crowd shots inside club. Eden is introduced, Eden says "London is very sorry to lose you", cut-in crowds, "we must stand together". GV of dancing. Outside night shots, elevated shot crowds thronging round the entrance, police lose control of same. Finish on crowds, also policeman trying to get out of crowd.
