MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Visit to Ulster - Special. DESCRIPTION: Their Majesties were accompanied by Princess Elizabeth on their visit to Ulster. The Royal party went first to Stormont and then onto the Botanic Gardens, large crowds greeted them in both places. They travelled along the River Foyle aboard the patrol yacht "Henisesta" and alighted at Londonderry where another large crowd greeted them in Guildhall Square. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Dakota plane landing. Taxies, King, Queen & Princess Elizabeth in ATS uniform alight. Greeted by Duke & Duchess of Abercorn. King inspects Guard of Honour - RAF regiment. Royal car driven through cheering (silent) crowds, waving, etc. to Stormont, crowds assembled outside, King shakes hands with a few wounded. Royal party ascend steps leading to Houses of Parliament, various shots. Royal Party alight from car at Botanic Gardens, shakes hands with several war workers, crowds still waving, cheering etc. Royal Party board Patrol Yacht "Heniesta" various shots of same along River Foyle, escorted by two fast launches. Various shots of banks, passing 55 captured U-boats, also passing corvettes & frigates, crew lining their decks as Royal Yacht passes. Disembark at Princes Quay, Londonderry. At Guildhall Square, huge crowd again. Inspects Guard of Honour of Ulster Constabulary. Marchpast of all Services, also Boy Scouts, etc. GV of King, Queen & Princess on dais, rather good shot, to finish.
