MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Admiral Nimitz Welcomes British Fleet. DESCRIPTION: British warships have arrived at Guam where they have been welcomed by the American Commander-in-Chief, Admiral Nimitz. The Admiral went abroad the ‘King George V’ to inspect the ship’s Company. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. GV "King George V" battleship. Various shots of KGV from several angles. Nimitz piped aboard greeted by Captain of ship. Inspects ship’s company, various shots. Captain introduces Admiral Nimitz, who then addresses ship’s company, "grateful for their help" etc. MS Nimitz. Three cheers by ship’s company.
