Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Belgian Holiday Camp at Ostend. DESCRIPTION: At Blankenberghe, near Ostend in Belgium there is now a holiday camp for troops. Here they can swim, with suits provided, or take a deck-chair on the front. SHOTLIST: Cut story - British troops (KS) walk along railway platform. The Casino, Ostend how occupied by the NAAFI for British troop on leave. Exterior shots of same, inside soldiers & WAAFs, ATS, etc. sit around talking etc. Various shots of ballroom shows dancing in progress, band playing - cut-ins. Outside queue for swimming costumes, handed by Service girl. Various shots of troops in swimming, playing ball on beaches with girls, etc. Others sitting about beach on deck-chairs. Finally two girls give ballet dancing (fancy dance) display.
