- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Flensburg - the Last Round-Up. DESCRIPTION: Flensburg was the scene of the arrest of members of the so-called German government. Donitz, Jodl and Speer were among those rounded-up, but Friedeburg avoided capture by taking poison. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Shot of docks, filled with ships. Guard on dock alongside liner "Patria". Donitz, Jodl & Friedeburg leaving liner. Walk along quay. Elevated German marines & German soldiers marched off. Various shots of German executive staff being marched out of Wehrmacht HQ, lined up in grounds, their hands on their heads, searched by British. Girls among the staff, girl holding dog is Donitz secretary. CU Rear Admiral Wagner. Interior shots of Friedeburg’s corpse laid out, also CU. Donitz led out with Jodl & Speer to be questioned by War Correspondents. Pan of group. CU Speer (in civilians clothes) CU Admiral Donitz. CU General Jodl. GV of group.
