- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Burning of Belsen. DESCRIPTION: More pictures of the atrocity camp at Belsen where people are still dying at a rate of 40 a day. As the huts become vacant they are demolished and burnt to obliterate filth and pestilence. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Pan of camp before burning. German soldiers carry out dead in blankets under guard of British soldiers. At mass grave same placed in grave; sermon read by Jewish & Church of England chaplains. British soldiers stand in group by grave side bareheaded. German fill in grave. Huts being knocked down by bulldozers. Wasps flame-throwers directing flames at demolished huts, various shots of camp aflame. GV of fire with Union Jack on left. In Minden, crowds of German civilians lined up, having been compelled, to see the atrocity films, crowds entering & leaving cinema.
