MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Allies Latest Air Power - Jet Planes. DESCRIPTION: The "Ascender" a new American fighter, has an unorthodox design. Amongst the features of this jet plane are elevators on the nose, propeller on the tail and rudders on the wings. SHOTLIST: Cut story - GV of tail-first plane, propeller on tail, rudders on wings, everything looks backwards. GV of it taxiing & taking-off. Various shots of same in flight, it is called the "Ascender", (it is not jet propelled). (CARD 45194 - Another new plane Bell P59 Jet propelled plane, wheeled out of hangar, shot in flight, also several in flight, aerial shots of P59 climbing.) Lastly new British Jet plane the E28/39. CU tail of plane, shots of plane taxiing & taking off, & in flight to finish.
