MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Re-Settlement of the Disabled (Bevin’s Speech at Leeds). DESCRIPTION: Mr Bevin, by officially opening the "Back at Work" exhibition in Leeds, drew attention to the needs and rights of disabled men and women. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Bevin starts weaving machine working, this opens "Back to Work" Exhibition. All the following are disabled, lost arms, hands or limbs. Tailor cutting material, storekeeper at work, fitter filing steel, artificial limb maker at work. Mr Bevin stands up to make speech, SCU & CU of him during speech, "British troops will not go short of shells etc., & work for thousands when war is over". Applause to end.
