MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Sunken Cruiser Fights On. DESCRIPTION: The American light cruiser "Savannah" fought on despite being hit and set on fire during the Battle of Salerno. SHOTLIST: Cut story - GS of US Cruiser "Savannah" GS of it on fire caused by air bomb. "Savannah" passing camera. On board crews rush about fighting the fire, get the wounded to safety, also attending to wounded on deck. GS of her after fire had been put out, in action again, with guns firing broadside. GS of her with bows rather low in the water.
