- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Marble Arch and Christmas in Desert. DESCRIPTION: The boys in Tobruk used their resourcefulness to make the best of the Christmas celebrations. SHOTLIST: Cut Story - Aerial shots of transport approaching Marble Arch. Pan down from top to base of Marble Arch. Transport through arch. Stacks of Christmas mail, soldier clearing same. (This is Tobruk). Soldiers carry holly? through streets. One paints "A Happy Christmas V" on wall. Ashwood of Pathe in army uniform, looks in kit-bag and brings out bottle of beer. Array of cards on table. Cook at open air oven, taking out pastry. Troops eat Christmas dinner in ruined house. CU Christmas pudding. Soldier walks out of house, above on balcony men drop white paper to resemble snow, he turns back into house, puts on overcoat and hat and walks out of house into camera.
