MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Lancaster Maintenance. DESCRIPTION: Further and further by night and day the ‘Lancasters’ strike Augsburg, Le Creusot, Milan - so in picture and word let us pay tribute to those who fly them and those who maintain these mighty offensive weapons. SHOTLIST: Tractor pulling Oil Wagon to Lancaster. CU same. Personnel fixing hose to L. CU L. showing one engine. Mechanics working on engines. CU Mechanic. Pan shot front of plane wing-tip to wing-tip, mechanics working on all four engines. RAF personnel walking into camera. Markings on plane showing number of raids, mines laid etc. LS Lancaster with hangars background. Tractor pulling L. into camera. Engineers testing engines. CU Port engine running. CU Cockpit engineer looking out. CU Wheel. CU Control officer at work on charts. Girls assisting same.
