- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Blasting the Retreating Hun. DESCRIPTION: Lancaster bombers have recently struck a U-boat pens in Brest, this was when the Americans were occupying all of Brittany except Brest. Allied air power continues to blast the Hun as he retreats across France. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Aerial shots of formation of Lancasters, more shots of same. Aerial shots of Brest Harbour, explosions of bombs on same. Aerial CU of bombs & falling, aerial shots of explosions, further east, not Brest. Various shots of explosions from bombs, on fuel dumps, etc. Bridges bombed, also 16mm blown up of bridges bombed. Mosquito flies low over sea, aerial shot of French coast, fly towards chateau, aerial shots of same, with smoke rising from same, bombs placed right on target, all done at low level, flying low over countryside.
