- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Guests for US Troops. DESCRIPTION: The King and Queen visit US Troops in Northern Ireland. SHOTLIST: The King and Queen arrive in Northern Ireland, aboard the Cruiser "Phoebe". (Censored). Shots being escorted across the Irish Sea by two Destroyers (Censored). Shots of the arrival. The Duke of Abercorn, the Governor, introduces General Hartle, to the King, who meets other officers of the US Forces. At the same time two cameramen are presented. Dick Harris and also Barnett of the American Movietone News. Their Majesties then ride in a jeep car to watch a tank display. The tanks crash through a wooden house. Then HM reviews a march past of infantry before going to the part where he inspects a Guard of Honour consisting of British and American sailors. This shot may prove useful at some later date. He then goes on board the Destroyer Bicester, bound for England.
