Summary
Pathe synopsis: After a day of prescribing pills, potions and placebos, what better than to return home to a more peaceful pastime? At the Royal Society of Health we see some fascinating aspects of doctors’ spare-time interests. Apart from the more conventional hobbies, there is a home-made telescope giving up to 300 times magnification; a steam engine in a bottle; a warship made of matchsticks and a model village with mechanical villagers going about their daily tasks. Who better than a doctor to keep them in working order?
