- Summary
- Pathe synopsis: Some of England’s most picturesque features, its old-world villages, never seem to change. At Burrowbridge in Somerset, for example, they still do basket weaving and at Bishop’s Liddeard thatching is still carried on. But new industries, like the shirt factory seen here, are springing up in the countryside, giving the villages a new lease of life without destsroying their charm.
