Summary
21-year-old Londoner, David Ryder, arrived after his fifty-nine day marathon walk from John O’Groats. It was the end of an incredible act of courage. For David’s legs are paralysed with Polio, and he walked the whole way on crutches, raising more than £1,000 for the disabled. Thousands cheered him home, including Elizabeth Taylor.
