Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Porpoise Round-Up. DESCRIPTION: In Japanese waters, off Honshu Island, they have an old custom of hunting the porpoise. Beating on iron pipes apparently scares the poor creatures who proceed to make for the shore where they are caught. SHOTLIST: KS. GV fishing boats form semi-circle. Various shots of porpoise jumping about in water. Fishermen in boats beating iron pipes. Porpoise make for the beach. Shots of them stranded on beach & fishermen sorting them out.
