Summary
The Presidential Boeing jet brought the new man in the White House, President Nixon, on a two-day goodwill visit. It was a packed 48-hours of meetings, luncheons, informal and formal talks. President Nixon spoke of the special friendship which existed between Britain and America - there was little doubt of this as the President’s visit came to a close. He had been made welcome wherever he went, especially so at Buckingham Palace.
