- Christmas is a wonderful time for most children, but not all of them are lucky enough to be with their parents during the Festive Season - some, in fact, are orphans. But the good in most people finds expression at this time of year - they give readily to help brighten the lives of these youngsters. The London Evening News Toy Appeal is one example. Another is the Variety Club. Because of thousands who show so much compassion, Christmas is indeed a time of happiness for children - all children.
