Summary

Arsenal met Tottenham Hotspur in their first-leg semi-final of the Football League Cup. For the 55,000 spectators who crammed into the stadium for this local derby game, it proved not as exciting as had been expected. Still, Arsenal managed to get one goal which stands in their favour when they go to White Hart Lane on December 4th.
