Summary
It was a miracle tinged with tragedy. One hundred and twenty one lived, but five died when the blazing Boeing 707, Whiskey Echo made a dramatic emergency landing only minutes after take-off. Within seconds the giant jet was engulfed by flames. It could have meant death for all 126 on board.
