- Summary
- At the end of eight days of talks, walks and meeting the people of the nation, Mr Kosygin bade farewell to Britain. The Guard of Honour mounted by the Royal Air Force was there to give the Soviet Head of State a fitting departure, and Mr Wilson, Mr Brown and other politicians wished him ‘safe voyage’ as the Russian airliner left for Moscow.
