- Cyclo-Cross, a sport demonstrating the top qualities of a long distance cross country runner and a champion cyclist, was staged at Highbury Park at Birmingham. Eventual winner of the gruelling hour long marathon was John Atkins, Champion of 1967’s National cyclo-cross championship.
