Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: American Manufacturer Launched. DESCRIPTION: A new merchant ship is launched at San Francisco in an unconventional way. SHOTLIST: The slipways are greased and the 7,000 ton freighter is launched sideways. As she goes into the water a miniature tidal wave is caused which makes the onlookers step back hurriedly.
