MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Mauretania Leave New York. DESCRIPTION: The two great ships leave New York for unknown destinations. The Mauretania later arrives safely in Honolulu after passing through the Panama Canal. SHOTLIST: Shots of the liner and of the large gun mounted on deck. Silently, she slips out of the dock. Nearby, the "Queen Mary", has steam up. "Queen Mary" Leaves - CARD 38720 Shots of the Queen Mary leaving New York. Past the skyscrapers she goes, and past the Statue of Liberty. Aerial shots.
