When Did Shakespeare Go to London?

Synopsis
A ten-part podcast series, presented by Jennifer Reid, from the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, exploring some of the most frequently asked questions about Shakespeare’s life. There are some lost years in Shakespeare’s life, one of which is the period from around 1585 until 1592 when the first reference to him as a playwright appears in print. In this episode guests Professors Michael Dobson and Stanley Wells, Dr Elizabeth Dollimore, Dr Anjna Chouhan, Dr Tara Hamling and Dr Madeleine Cox talk about the myths and stories that are told around why Shakespeare went to London and where he might have stayed.
