- RECOGNIZING CHILD ABUSE is a three-part series designed to inform those providing care and service how to recognise the signs of child abuse and what actions they need to take if abuse is suspected. Each programme addresses mandatory reporting for those in health and social services, as well as anonymous reporting by others. Viewers learn types of suspect behaviour in both victims and perpetrators and what signs to look for when assessing suspected abuse.
Part 1: Physical Abuse - covers risk factors and how to recognise actual physical signs of abuse. Physical symptoms covered in detailed imagery are soft-tissue injuries, skeletal and head injuries, abdominal injuries and inflicted traumatic brain injury.

Part 2 - Neglect and Emotional Abuse - gives an overview and discusses neglectful caretakers, neglect (both physical and emotional) and emotional abuse.
Part 3 - Sexual Abuse - gives an overview and definition of sexual abuse. Incest, molestation, exhibitionism, child pornography and child prostitution are covered with specific emphasis on the methods used by abusers. - Language
