Tales from the Green Valley
- Synopsis
- A series of 12 x 30-minute programmes in which five archaeologists and historians take on the challenge of running a farm on the Welsh borders for a year, as it would have been in the reign of James I. Working without modern conveniences they try and turn theory into practice, rediscovering how things were done in the year 1620. The group live off the land, eating food they grow and wearing clothes they create, using only 400-year-old manuals for point of reference. Each episode focuses on a month in the life of the farm, following the seasonal tasks.
