Synopsis

A video featuring mechanical and electronic devices to make lights flash. Common examples of flashing lights seen in daily life at home, in the street and for leisure. The video features projects based around the theme of advertising. Soldering and printed circuit board construction is included. Teaching notes include Ohms Law, capacitance, the resistor colour code and calculations on frequency. Project notes include transistor circuits, the 555 timer, binary counters and logic gates.
