Episiotomy Repair

Synopsis

Demonstrates the repair of an episiotomy. Discusses analgesia (an epidural is used with this patient); asepsis; examination to determine the extent of episiotomy and to identify any lacerations of the vaginal wall. Shows the repair of three distinct layers: 1) vaginal skin, 2) perineal muscle, 3) perineal skin, and the suture materials of choice.
