An introduction to the personalities and works of Denise Levertov and Charles Olsen. Levertov is seen in her home where, before reading some of her poems, she discusses her reason for being a poet and her methods of work. Olsen is also visited in his home where he describes his concept of open verse composition and recites several of his poems.
