- Synopsis
- A visit to a coal-fired power station shows viewers the sheer size and scale of the engineering. Graphics sequences explain how the various components of the plant work together. Uses the Didcot, Berkshire, power station as an example of how privatisation and other changes in the industry have affected the running of power plants. Shows how micro-electronics have been incorporated into the workings of the plant.
