Camden Town Group, The
- Synopsis
- The critic Frank Rutter, a friend and supporter of Camden Town artists, was appointed Curator of Leeds Art Gallery in 1912; through the Leeds Art Collections Fund he acquired several important works for the gallery, from which this selection is drawn. The set includes portraits, landscapes, domestic interiors, scenes of popular entertainment, and urban views, by artists such as Gilman, Sickert, and Gore, together with works by associated artists such as Augustus John and Lucien Pissarro.
